Hi,yeah sometimes they make the link pipe smaller,if its a tight fit then you wont need any gasket, the clamp should make a decent seal.
Ray
yep after market cans rarely use a gasket on the link pipe. should be a tight fit.
hi cheers even without gasket its tight fit but its still blowing and i cant get it tight enough or get a gasket in and i dont really wana gum gum it to death!

push it on further. you have a clamp around it? you can use some clear silicone sealant on the join to help seal it.
try some exhaust paste, my Diversion 900 has the same problem passed its mot,as long as its not too bad i wouldn't worry too much
Had the same problem with a link pipe i bought a few years back was a bas"*rd to fit as it was far to tight,in the end i had to cut along the slots on it and bend them outwards, pushed the link pipe on bent it back in and tightened the clamp never blew one bit job done.
cheers for all the advice ill try and sort it this weekend and hopefully get it sorted, if not then back to the matches :evil

failing that ,
try cutting a slot down the pipe by about 25mm.
this should make it easier to fit.
and clamp it tight!
