I think we have lost Viv. Looking on her FB page, it would appear she lost her fight with Cancer.


Sad times indeed :-(

She was indeed one of a kind, and I am sure she is looking down on us with her smile as she normally does.

We went on some nice rides together and she was always good company when we all met up

I knew Viv very well, we went on several european  tours together in a group. She was an incredible woman, brave and mad enuff to go touring europe on her bike, a great spirit.Always made me think of joanna Lumley with her "semi posh" voice and her style..... I hear this news with great sadness. I knew of her battle with cancer,I didnt realise she was that ill either. She gave up biking a couple of years ago, and we drifted apart somewhat. A very sad day indeed. RIP.

I remember meeting Viv at a couple of Foccers meets, the BOTW one that peejay has posted a piccie from, and also one at Stratford, where I took a not very flattering picture of her which we had a bit of banter about when I posted it on Foc-U afterwards. Viv also sent me some lovely messages of support when my father-in-law lost his battle with cancer in 2005.

I had a text last night, not sure who from to say Viv had passed away. Sadly no-one knew in time to attend funeral. She was a lovely lady, full of good kind words. She will be missed.
