Looking at purchasing a maxton spring for my gen1 thou..but unsure if it will be matched to my weight.the sprinğ is a lilac colour does this help? And I weigh bout 18 stone and travel lot with full pnniers and topbox.any help would be appreciated

Hey fazerboy 1969. I bought a Maxton rear shock for my gen 2 a month after buying the bike new in 2007. Richard at maxton will build you a shock set up for your weight and riding style. I do trackdays to touring two up with full Givi luggage and all I alter is the preload. spend the money it will transform your bike

i can do the r6 conversion to cater for 2 x 18 stone people and top box and fully loaded givi panniers and still handle on rails far cheaper than the big houses just a thought

Luke, do you tailor the spring to the weight of the rider, or is it the standard spring with the shock modded?  Apols if this is a dopey question.
