Wanted - grab handles for FZS 1000 Gen 1

Looking for a pair of standard grab handles for the FZS 1000 - just bought a 2001 bike but the previous owner removed a top box/rack and had lost the original handles. None seen on Ebay, can anyone on here help before I try a dealer?

Just heard the news from our local dealer. Guess they fall into the 'daylight robbery' section in the parts book! Makes for an easy decision though, two years insurance plus change or a couple of handles = no contest.  Seriously though, if anyone can spare a set for say 25% of the new price quoted above (or can suggest an alternative that looks good but doesn't involve a full-on luggage rack?) I could still be interested - until then I'll be taping over the holes to keep the rain out! Cheers, famorb

Rentec do a grab rail that is FAR better than the naff handles the FZS is fitted with as standard.

It is priced at just over a 1/4 of one of the O.E grab handles though, they do SOMETIMES crop up on eBay but I have been after one of these myself for about 6 months now and keep getting gazumped on them (they've been going for £45-£55!)

I also cant believe that  there are no original handles about either ?

Hi Chitsu and Solorider - thanks for your replies. I've seen the Renntec rails in ads but not in real life so not sure how well they fit the mounting holes etc.; not after luggage options so would be happy with originals if they weren't so expensive! Will keep an eye on Ebay and see how the bids go... Cheers, famorb

Ive had dozens of rentec grab rails over the years & all have fitted perfectly, I have actually got a rentec rack on my bike at the minute which is basically the same grab rail with a carrier fastened to the rear of it, it was a direct & straight forward fit too.
