#1
Hi all, does anyone have any advice on getting hold of a Fuel Tank for a '99 Fazer in Red? Or better yet, does anyone have one they wouldnt mind selling?

Cheers

I live the far side of Bath,  and got the impression not many fazer owners on this site live in the west country because they always talk about the north and Scotland. Smile

Some talk from the north.

Dead Eye.  Just be aware there are two shades of red used by Yamaha on the carbed Fazers.  The original 1998 is one red (paint code VRC1 I think) and the 1999 on is a slightly darker burgundy red (VRC7).  (The 2000 onwards FazerS red/whiteblack model uses the vrc1 red)

The tank pictured in the link looks most likely a 1998 one.

You can probably guess why I know.

Good look with finding a tank.  Deefer666 on here is a good source of parts / painting.

Id actually been to visit this guy and he doesnt actually have any - only has one in stock in black apparently.

As for the two shades of Red, I had noticed this when looking around for bikes. Mine is the darker burgundy colour which I absolutely love so having the lighter colour tank wouldnt really be an option.

Thanks for the advice though guys, I assume the £95 for the above ad is fairly typical?
