Hi focs.
Trying to balance my carbs with Carbtune. But i think i have a problem.
The bars have big amount of damping :\ .
I recently change the inlet rubbers(old had cracks),but the dumping still remain.
The cartune setup is corrent(carbtune----90cm tube----restricters----10cm tube---- engine).
What cause this problem.air leaks???where??
Hope for help... :o :o
Make sure the carbtune is vertical.
Make sure the hoses are connected to the vacuum points on the inlet rubbers securely.
Make sure there are no air leaks on the hoses.
If you still have to much damping then shorten the restricters (but remember, once you cut then you can't undo it).
The longer the restriction tube the more resistance to the air flow and the higher the damping on the carb tune.
More damping (slower movement of the bars) = longer restricter tubes
Less damping (faster movement of the bars) = shorter restricter tubes.
If you're not sure just connect one 'channel' to one carb with no damper, then slowly pinch the rubber hose to increase the damping.
Your answer was very helpfull!
I think that you misunderstood my problem because of my bad english(sorry :o ).
The problem is that the bars are moving fast and they are not stable enough to make a correct adjustment.
So, as you said,i have to put longer restricters to have slower movement of the bars!
Thanks again for your help, much appreciated!!! :thumbup :thumbup
I ll test this and post the results!
