Downloads

There is now a Downloads menu item to which can be added documents and other bike related stuff. you will decide the categories and if required sub-categories for me to set up. The documents themselves can then be uploaded from various sources.

From the Yuku board go to the foc-u home page by clicking the banner. On the top menu is the old Downloads section. These can be transferred if still relevant. Other sources include the Yamaha manuals pages. Of course I would never advocate hunting around other fazer bike sites for other documents.

I've got the 06 onwards FZ1 service manual bud, I've hopefully uploaded it to the right bit.
:\

Is it worth putting the owners manuals on there too?
Yam have them freely available on their own website

Edit;
That didn't work at all then.
I got this wee message after about five minutes of it trying to upload stuff, any suggestions?

Well that's crap. It should have checked that all fields were filled in correctly before trying to upload the file.

Presumably it's a big file which is why it took so long?

I will take this up with the author of the Downloads system :thumbup

That's true - we could add that Yam page as a link, or series of links Smile

Just checked there bud, it says it's 16.9MB on disc, so should be well in range?

On a tenuously related note, I'm on a Mac, but PDFs are PDFs are they not?

Had another look - there's also a 8MB limit Sad

I'll try to sort this overnight.

You're right - Mac / PDF does not make a difference.

I made a copy of this board because I wanted to test upgrading the Downloads mod. It worked with a bit of manual intervention and I was able to upload a 15MB file. As it was time consuming I have not done the same on this board, so hang fire until I do Smile

I have now upgraded the upload system and you should be able to upload larger files. Let me know if you have any problems :thumbup

Sorry  :o

Looking at it there's another limit which I thought was irrelevant, but it's 8MB so maybe that's not the case. It is a server-wide limit and I do not have the necessary passwords with me so it will have to wait until tomorrow (Friday) evening.

That limit is now 20MB so if you have a chance to try again with the 15MB file....
