And so it begins..... the start of all the questions ha ha ha
OMG, the wind noise on the motorway. Unless I sit uncomfortably bolt upright, the wind comes off the front screen straight into my helmet. It used to be into my chest on the FZS. It was so loud, and I already wear ear plugs.
I see a taller touring screen our double bubble seem to be the fix. I'm not fussed on a taller screen, it's already quite tall. So what are people's thoughts on fixing this?
Cheers
Adrian

How tall are you? Interested because your experience is so different between the two models; I have only ridden the FZS and was shocked about how noisy it was compared with a naked bike. If the FZ6 has pushed the wind blast upards compared to the FZS is the FZ6 fairing the answer to my wind noise problem? Either I crouch behind the screen like a sixteen year old trying to get the last dregs out of a 50 or I have to elevate myself on the pegs which doesn't feel too smart or stable at motorway speeds.
I'm 5'9

I'm 5'7 and don't have an issue with it, although I have also cut an inch out of the saddle so I can get my foot down more easily.
My helmet is a Shoei XR-1100 which is a pretty quiet lid.

A double bubble screen or a touring Screen with a flipped up (curved up top) should sort out a lot of it.
Helmet is a Shoei GT Air 2 - had it about a year. I always wear plugs.
Will have a play and see how different body positioning affects it, see where the excessive wind noise is actually coming from, it was generally windy yesterday, too.
Certainly made a difference sat really really upright.
I'm too old to curl up behind the screen like a 16 year old on a 50cc ha ha ha
Powerbronze or Airblade double bubble pop up when googled. Or Puig touring screen.

Quick update here - road to work this morning - not commuted on an early October morning for a few years now, forgot how much I hate low sun and damp roads, could see foc all at times!
So, much calmer day today, much less buffeting, that must have been mainly down to the wind blowing that day.
The noise my ears are not liking is a deeper rumble. Having had a play about today, I am actually more behind the screen than I thought, and it's the low rumble that my ears aren't liking. will try without my ear plugs and see if that rumble changes. Suspect this is down to the ear plugs filtering certain frequencies and due to positioning being different on the FZ6 to the FZS I'm now hearing a different frequency.
Panic over on a new screen, for now.

Unless to the local shop I always put these in, it make it way less stressful to ride the bike. only issue is when Im in a petrol station or all a small shop and I have to shout that I have ear plugs in..lol
