Wind noise....Thank you
#1
On the 30th July 23 TRIGGER51 wrote about a wind noise coming from the front, suspected wheel bearings . I had checked, bearings, calipers, speedo drive, rad cover, mudguard, cables,  brackets, inserts, you name it, i checked and cleaned where nessassary, plus a road test inbetween each job.

All to no avail, it was still there driving me nuts.

On the 31st BBROWN1644, repliedt to TRIGGER,  possibly tyre, remove mudguard and test. It was a last ditch attempt, never thought it would work,.. it did, no noise....

The Bridgestone 023 has only done around 6000kms, I've has then on a Sprint, XJR1300, and now my Fazer  without an issue, a great tyre, until now.....

I'm almost 80, had bikes since l was 16, worked on everyone I've ever owned,  thought l knew most things,  but,  lesson learnt, always come on here first to see if someones had the same problems

So a thankyou to Tigger for posting, and BBrown  for the answer....

Regards Fergie

Photo of my bike mad granddaughter, any excuse to get out on it

its just the tread pattern causing the noise due to the airflow it creates under the mudguard. Put some ear plugs in and enjoy the ride.
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again

Close inspection ,with the wheel off the ground and spinning, you can see a slight wave pattern, as it wasn't doing it aroind 400kms ago I'm going for a new tyre. I maybe getting on a bit, but l can still hustle the old girl around, no chicken strips (rear) that and the hot roads recently haven't helped perhaps ? In the meantime, as you say, l will just wear ear plugs knowing its not a serious mechanical problem.. Thanks for the tip..???
