AfD? Never heard of it.
You should keep up with the news: Elon Musk congratulates AfD’s Alice Weidel on far-right gains in German election
Groups like that need someone to blame, someone to create fear about, someone to make a scapegoat for all of society's ills.
You're absolutely right about this country making the same mistakes...
I very rarely follow any news anymore, for quite a few reasons. Most of the news items are not news, but biased speculation from the broadcaster/publisher. Social media is another source of non-news. Remember when we used to say "well, I read it in the Sun, so it must be true". I don't believe anything from any source unless it can be verified easily. This also means that I do not become wound up and angry at something or someone who I have nothing to do with. Let's face it - as a nation, we cannot even influence our own political leaders on the best way to be popular.

No, you're not
Beat me to it

A little while ago I was best for two weeks, so I'm not having anyone beat that record
No doubt due to the lack of forum members prepared to post. Just like other sections, there’s not so much input as there used to be, no doubt younger ones are all on faceache nowadays.

Id hazard a guess its influenced by the number of Fazers reducing over time, along with the Fazer jockeys, although i did see a nice blue thou at Donington Park on a trackday last week
I've seen a couple locally every now and again, so they are still around.

Me too, in fact one of the really fast red ones is parked in my garage awaiting my attention.
Ah, some strange definition of the word "fast" that I wasn't previously aware of...

Ah, some banter, which is good.........
I will trump your misunderstanding with a description of the word Red.
Red is a quicker word to say, for example than silver which is two syllables are therefore slower. Yellow is the same and blue is well, how can I put that blue sounds like poo.
So, therefore science can conclude that Red is the fastest colour

Started to read some technical guff about the wavelengths of colours are all different and reckoned red to be the fastest colour due to its ability to be seen at the greatest distance and is most noticed by the human eye. That’s apparently the reason that red is internationally used for all warning signs, stop lights etc.

Red is a frequency in the electromagnetic spectrum, just like blue, radio waves, X Rays etc.
The speed of light is a Universal Constant of 299,792,458 metres per second, so no one colour *can* be faster unless there's something fundamentally broken in the laws of physics!
I thought the colour of the light was related to the speed at which it is either coming towards you, or moving away from you. Hence the terms "red shift" and "blue shift". And why things in the distance appear to be bluer in colour than things closer to you.
Any way, our resident Astrophysicist Graham will put me right I'm sure
You're thinking of the Doppler Effect, similar to that of when the noise of a bike engine sounds like a higher pitch (frequency) when it's coming towards you, but lower when it's going away, ie that NEEEEEEOOOooowwmmmmm sound, even though, when you're on the bike, the note doesn't change.
Similarly the colour of the light is blue shifted when it's coming towards you (or you're going towards it) and red shifted when you're going away from it, even though, again, from the point of view of the light itself, the frequency is constant.
So, by that logic, if you're on a bike that's overtaken another bike, the colour of the bike you've passed will be shifted towards the red, meaning that actually red is the *slowest* colour
QED!
