I go to the gym twice a week to do classes in Body Pump (free weights) and Body Combat (non-contact martiall arts moves), both set to music and I also swim and work out for 15 minutes a day on either a cross trainer or rowing machine.
It's not that I actually enjoy doing exercise, but because I enjoy surfing and skiiing, I have to stay fit to enable me to do them!

Yep, you've got to put the hard yards in, in order to enjoy and progress in an athletic hobby. Don't expect there's too many pro racers or motorcrossers that love going to the gym, but know without putting in that time, they definitely won't be at the top of their game.

I just wish there was a way of staying fit without having to do all that...!

They are certainly not dry and clear today, that's for sure.

Yeah, not the greatest conditions...!
And I think the conditions are still shite!

Definitely more shite than they were, that’s for sure. Depends upon where one lives though, I suppose.

I've just got back from a week's skiing in the 3 Valleys, the weather was lovely with clear blue skies and starry nights, but the last good snow was over a week before, so the sun would melt the snow, then it would freeze overnight, meaning it was then icy the next day.
It was a bit challenging...!
Surely, you would want it slippery when skiing?
Snow is slippery enough on its own when you're skiing, however it's easier to turn on.
When it's icy, that makes it a whole lot more difficult (and a lot faster too...)
PS Damn! I was best for *two weeks*!
Dragon Rally this coming weekend. Temperatures are dropping, hopefully no snow though.
