Headlights

Can anyone help ??? '04 Fazer, headlights not working, headlight flasher works fine, as do tail lights but no dip or main, fuses ok...is there anything obvious I've missed before I start pulling it to bits ? I'm hopeless with electrics btw.

Without seeing he bike in front of me it could be a number of things...

So assuming the bulbs havent blown..? something you can check is if the headlight relay is working (its located under the botton of the windscreen below the clocks, its about 2cm*1cm*1cm with 3-4 pins.

Some models of the FZS came with a headlight on/off switch on ther right have controls, so if yours did - with the engine not running, but ignition on, turn the lights on/off with your ear near the front low part of the screen, you should hear a relay click on/off and you toggle the switch.

If your model dosent have the headlight switch, then you do the same thing as ablve but with the iginition, but it will be harder to hear as the powervale will want to power cycle at igintion on etc.
