Bolt
#1
Hello all.

I have returned to biking after missing a few years. I bought a 2000 fazer fzs600 and I am extremely pleased with it - I have had many bikes over the many years. I have one problem which I am hoping you might help with. I need a nut and bolt for the torsion/torque arm/rod that connects to the rear brake caliper. I can get the part numbers but no information as to dimensions, so that I can get a cheaper version elsewhere - currently 8.50 for one!  I think that is expensive, or am I still "living in the past".

Many thanks.

A decent quality stainless bolt with a high shear capacity will do the job.
#23 on this diagram suggests a genuine bolt is only £1.37 though

Thank you.

It was the nut that was expensive over a fiver! So, I have ordered the bolt and will try to find a matching nut locally - to match the bolt that is! Also, the company you recommended was by far the cheapest including shipping.

So, again thank you.

I am from the age when the RD250 / 350 first came out when I was in my late teens. Everything was so much cheaper then. Some information I did get was that it was much cheaper to get a brake line from Hel (26 quid) against a replacement part (76 quid).
