Quote: Even The Queen's been cancelled by the warriors of woke now

And the populist dictatorship tells you what you can and cannot do on your own premises  :rolleyes
That's after they've finished picking the England cricket team of course....

The elected Mayor seems quite happy with the outcome  Smile

Students decide to change the decorations in their Common Room: Headline news that everyone piles in on.

Oh, and the Government was found to have broken the law by giving COVID-19 contracts to their mates, but that's not important...

While busy picking the England cricket team, government has nothing at all to say about fans booing the England football team.
One is news, the other obviously isn't.

Just another Dead Cat to distract people from paying attention to the important stuff Sad

Within minutes the Twitter mob were having a field day and it was all over the papers :rolleyes

Having flags behind you any time you're on TV is an American thing to show how "patriotic" someone is. Jenrick decided to "make a statement" and deservedly got the piss taken out of him.

Of course the "anti-woke" brigade (nb "woke" is pretty much now a term only used by the political right to deride anyone who points out their hypocrisy, cf "cancel culture") immediately used this as an excuse to whip up a media frenzy over a trivial issue because, of course, that would distract people from the serious issues that are affecting this country that Jenrick and co are responsible for.

So, whether or not it was a deliberate Dead Cat, it certainly became one because the Tories then decided to up the ante by declaring that *all* Government buildings should fly the Union Flag *every day*, something which has never been considered necessary before now.

I'm really focced off with all the fuss over historical comments, suddnely dug up and brought to the fore. I'll wager theres not a manjack amongst us thats not made some sort of comment in the past that may now be considered to be offensive to/by any number of other sections of the community, be they multi gender/black/non white/left handed/gay/disabled/bmw audi drivers and on and on and on. I know I have
