I’m pretty confident that they don’t advise cruising at 50mph on a motorway in 2[sup]nd[/sup] gear!
Next you’ll be lecturing me on push pull steering and not trail braking into corners. :z
I never advocated cruising in 2nd.
Trail breaking before corners is fine Try reading Roadcraft. It might help. Either that, or just write your own book.
Quote:I'm sure I'd be causing more pollution doing 50 in second gear than 70 in sixth
:rolleyes
No mention of the word 'cruising'. Most appropriate gear, not always 6th.
Anyway, no wonder you trail brake in corners if you're going round them at 50 in 6th all the time :rolleyes

Just that is what we were discussing, that’s all. Whatever gear you fancy bud.

You know what, I’m struggling to think of any time ever trail braked on a motorway. :eek
Ah wish we could go down the pub, all closed up here in Darkest Scotlandshire.

Whilst schools and universities where the infection spreads like blight through a potato field remain open?.
Nope, don't think you'll find a bookie anywhere that'd be daft enough to offer odds on that one.

Wickes today for some lightbulbs. Queue out of the door. Builders filling their vans with enough materials to see them through the next 4 weeks. Van suspension in serious trouble! Reminded me of the old Calais booze runs
My local Wickes, no turps or white spirit, also no brilliant white Dulux satinwood paint. The paint section looked quite sparse of stock in general.
