We’re booked with BA later in the year. They’ve already published that they won’t be using Gatwick in future, which is a must for us. Expecting a struggle to get cash back, but used a credit card, so worse case scenario, the bank can sort it out. Getting the deposit back from the cattery could be a problem possibly. Have to wait for the govt. announcement regarding travel for bookings later in the year. Be happy just to have a day out on the bike at the moment. :lol

I work in aviation - thankfully at the lighter end of the market. There are times when I almost feel sorry for the big players affected by this - doesn't last long though  :lol :lol :lol

When we do get over, or are able to safely handle this pandemic, there'll be a change in the high street, with companies no longer trading, as well as changes to the way we're used to doing things. If airlines were forced to maintain social distancing, then seat prices will need to be around 3 times dearer. In yesterdays paper, there was an article regarding the govt laying on a repatriation flight, might have been from Turkey. Instead of being grateful for being flown home, they moaned about having to sit next to someone. Nowt as strange as folk :lol .

Most folk only had one telly.care of Radio Rentals  :lol  so 208 was brilliant when you were sent to bed. :woot  you tried every night to leave the dial where it was the night before but you always had to mess about turning it and moving the tranny to get the best reception. :rollin

I was on a cabling gang for British Relay Wireless, no doubt the first cable tv company in the UK, wiring up Crawley when it had just been built in 1964. Our van was a column change Thames 15cwt, the forerunner of the Transit. Loads of wheelspin on every corner, happy days :thumbup .
