After the current boxeye FZS600, of all the stuff available on the market, I'd only consider a 400 cc Fazer - if they were available locally.
Intend to run it for as long as it runs without some outrageously expensive repairs.
Most things done in a hurry need to be done again - patiently.

When I first joined this forum, I had one until I made the mistake of selling it. After several years with other, lesser, bikes I am back with an FZS600 again.

People sell their Fazers for all the right reasons and then realise how good the Fazer actually was compared to the replacement. Many will never admit they made a mistake.

Bought a new FZS600 in 1999.  Traded it in 25,000 miles and 5 years later for a pre reg zero miles FZS1000.  It’s about 38,000 miles now and just been joined by my new R1250R.

The FZS1000 is sitting in the garage spewing fork all over the garage floor just now.  Got a list of things I need to do to get her back up to scratch.  But there is a list of other home tasks I need to get through first.  We’ll see.

The 1974 C90 that I passed my test on in 1987, still with only 2500 miles on the clock is hiding in the corner waiting for me to retire.  Needs a good bit of TLC.
