Yep and why is it that no matter when you change over it's ALWAYS on the advert break. Can they tell you've just switched?!.

Next time I'm going to leave the set on in the kitchen and run out to see if that's on the ads at the same time on the same channel Big Grin

The adverts are defiantly co coordinated so that they are all on at the same time for when you start switching the remote - or in Yamfazfan's case a long stick poking his set buttons.AND they are louder that the program you was watching. But glad to see that they have now banned gender stereotype adverts most of which seem to be about men being stupid.
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.

That's why I record (or, now, use Catch Up to download programmes) and fast-forward through them! :thumbup

Most of the smaller channels run their advert breaks at exactly the same time simply to stop people flipping to see if there's anything else on another channel!

Also if you watch US programmes, note when there's a "fade to black" between scenes, that's when the US channels would put in a break.

On a similar note, when you get a really annoying advert on the radio that is repeated non stop all day.

Some gobshite spat out of his van window this morning as he was sitting in still traffic and i was slowly going past him.
Basically he spat on the front of my bike.
It was a transit type van and he was leaning on the door with the window down so could clearly see me in the mirrors.....if he looked.

Whether it was deliberate or not, i don’t know, but........no need.  :rolleyes

Been spat at a few of times before, by kids and by a lorry driver who emptied a full flask of coffee in the air out of his window before he started spitting, even though i was about 3 car lengths behind him sitting in line with his wing mirror just so he could see i was there.
Had apples thrown at me, and fireworks aimed at me.
Oh, and had a woman deliberately swerve in traffic and run over the edge of my boot.

Maybe it’s just me  :rollin :rollin :rollin

I was cycling in Devon a few years ago and some scrotes lobbed a McDonald’s coke out the window at me as they passed in the car. Hadn’t done anything to them but hope natural selection will take care of them in due course!

I phoned a radio station about this and the bloke said they have to do this because of the fees these advertisers pay, without which they couldn't keep going, but what a fucking ball ache,ay? :finger

I'm fortunate enough to have a choice of radio stations on my bench which i either find using DAB, which is unreliable in my area dependent on the weather, or i can use the internet stations on my iPad Bluetoothed through my sound system.
I like to mix it up occasionally so as not to get too repetitive, but some stations can be far worse than others for adverts, over talking, crappy fake sounding pop music, etc.
Other days i'll use Spotify with my own music played randomly, but i only have the free version so they can be one of the worst culprits for constant advertising breaks, using the same ads over and over again, especially the video ads.

Cars who park on the opposite side of the road facing you with their headlamps left on full. Why don't they have the common sense to turn them to side lights. Can't see much past them.

No amount of main beam (in car) from me makes them realise -they either flash back or give you finger salutes. Happening more and more these days...Grrrrrrrrrrrr!
