In the mcn there is a piece about A bike garage in London who is authorised to do emission tests for older bikes
An ageing test pilot for home grown widgets that may fail at anytime.

It's a bloody disgrace we have to pay the same as cars anyway, i think bikes are about 0.1% of the problem.

I've just put all my cars into the checker and I'm confused:
04 plate Skoda Octavia 1.9 Tdi doesn't pass (but I didn't expect it to). our "new" 11 plate Skoda Octavia 1.6 Tdi doesn't pass (I expected it to) My 55 plate 1.4 Ford Fiesta passes. Now this is the bit that REALLY confuses me I thought road tax is now based on emmissions: The 11 plate Skoda is only £30 a year (bargain!) So, that's chucking out low emmitions, yeah? But still fails ULEZ The 04 plate Skoda was £125 a year so not so good, I get why it would not be included in ULEZ The 55 plate Fiesta costs me £145 and the most expensive car in terms of tax and yet passes WTF??? My cars don't pollute according to tax but do according to ULEZ! Potty!
Money doesn't buy happiness, but it buys beer, and that helps!

I think Vehicle Excise Duty is based on CO2 emissions (greenhouse gases) not NOx.

Fascinating!!!
Would Mr Khan react to something like this?? I would hope so as he stands to generate a shed load more revenue from genuinely dirty, poisonous cars and might feel more benevolent towards bikes as a consequence. We can but hope :rolleyes
Take a deep breath, coz it all starts now, when you pull the foccin' pin

Bang them up until they've paid off their bill, and we really don't care if they make a stand, they can stay inside all their life as far as i'm concerned to think about how their pathetic bellend behaviour has caused more bad than good.
