Replacement front forks after smash
#1
I was riding past stationary traffic and a van pulled out from a side street.  I hit the side of it, bent the forks back about four inches and sent me flying.

Anyway I need some new front forks.  Second hand on eBay the forks alone are selling for around £300.  I could buy a whole bike not running for £500.

Any other ideas on where to source?

If it's just the fork leg tubes (upper),

Assuming you need just the upper tubes? - https://www.wemoto.com/bikes/yamaha/fzs_...n_-_single

I've got a set that have been recently refurbished with a spare set of progressive springs that I bought but no longer need £225.

At those prices I'd be tempted to buy a non runner as a donor bike. Just make sure the forks are perfect though.

Thanks Drezza I would be very interested in your forks.

I’ll find out this week from insurance who’s at fault with the accident. If I’m at fault or if it’s 50/50 I’ll get back in touch for the forks.

I think the frames ok but will have the whole bike looked over by a pro if I’m repairing it.

Ok mate let me know  Smile

I crashed my fazer last July too, which I bought these replacement forks for, but I decided to brake it instead as it wasn't worth the effort getting it back on the road. Hope the frame isn't bent as I'd hate to re-frame one!
