Will it fit?

Hi all, I’m trading in my gen one for a 2011 gen 2. Question is will the stubby end can from gen one fit the gen 2 if I got a new link pipe or would I be as well buying a new system?

Any can will fit any bike as long as you get the correct link pipe ?

When I first got my gen2 after selling my gen1 I fitted the Blueflame can from the gen1 to the gen2 using the gen1 link pipe, it just meant the strap for the hanger was in a different position, didn't look right though. :\
