Renthal 758 Bars.

After dropping my Fazer. Side stand malfunction down to me not fully extending it  :'( I was lucky enough not to damage too much. The bars bent and only just touched the tank. Tiny chip out of the paint and bent lever. Few scratches to the fairing and gen cover but no cracks. I should be able to fill and touch up.
I managed to get some 758 bars for £30 off fleebay. What a difference in the ride! Really feels tons better and not sure if it's the bars or the confidence it has given me but I swear the front end is lighter! That wheel likes to come up!

Love my Renthal bars. I fitted them after taking advice from PieEater & will never go back to std bars!

I love my Renthal 758s, too but the Spanish MOT dude doesn't.  Unless it has an EU type approval certificate, he won't accept any aftermarket part fitted to a bike these days.

Oddly enough, I e-mailed Renthal yesterday asking for just such a piece of paper and they tell me that there's no requirement for one in the UK, so they don't bother with it.  So, how come they can sell in Germany (TUV rules) and elsewhere within the EU without type approval? 

Beats me but if anyone knows where I might find the necessary piece of paper - maybe one came in the package with your new Renthals - I'd really be grateful for the pointer.

Cover the part that says Renthal with paint, or tape and a usb/clock or other then how will he know.
