Newbie (still!!)
#1
Hi all.
Pleased to reintroduce myself.
I'm in Plymouth and currently riding a 97' ZZR1100.
Determined to get back into using the bike this year.
Doing well so far, but the ZZR has reminded me of the bike I really want  :evil

Originally joined the site in 2015, but been a lurker since.
Didn't manage to afford a Gen 1 1000, but have been patiently waiting and biding my time and money...
I'm now lucky enough to be in a buying position in May Big Grin , so having looked through the site and it's links (again!), I've been reassured that it's still the bike for me.
So,I'm in the market for an 'Ivanised' (F/M) Gen 1, with suspension mods too.
I'll post in the wanted section asap.
Thanks Ian

hey Ian welcome along...good luck with the search for a gen 1, see theres already a couple on offer....they are both lovely but I can see that you want that "just right" one for you with modded suspension and why not....you'll have to spend more getting an R1 front end etc.....prices are criminally low but if you're a buyer then that's great.

I had a 600 boxeye, then an FZ1......then a trx....dare I say it though I'm not a fan of the looks of the Gen1 thous but I know if I ever try one i'll like it.....I've ended up back to a 600 boxeye...I'm a heavy foccer too also around the 17 stone mark...apparently we bounce better 8)
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

Hi Noggy.
You're spot on with your critique.
It is a buyers market tbh.
It's usually me thats done the mods and selling at a loss, so I can hold out for 'the one', knowing how it feels!
I'll just plod around on my ZZR11 until then....

That black one does look pukka though, but there's a 30k miler 06' on Fleabay for £2250.
Tried him at £2k, but no go.
Figured the £500 I saved could go on some Ivanisingand maybe some springs etc  :evil
Thanks Ian
