Spidi Jacket Update
#1
Following on from my chrystall ball post I have been looking at the Spidi Track Wind Leather Jacket in white as I am looking for something cooler for summer riding, what do we think about spidi stuff and any other recommendations for a summer jacket, has to be mainly leather and am looking for something with lots of white flashes or mainly white.

The wind track looks like it is the end of stock and seems to be limited in size availability I am around a 36 -38 (racing snake )  although I tried on a Frank Thomas 40 and it didnt seem too big.

Spidi is quality easily on a par with Alpinestars.I've got a set of one piece leathers that I used for 10 years before I put on too much timber. Also have used their leather gloves and textile H2Out waterproof trousers.Good kit although sizes come up small if I remember correctly, but if you're trying the jacket in a shop, then not a problem.

Thanks robbo for the insight, sports bike shop have one listed at 36 but I dont even think they come in a 36 but if you say they come up small then I think the 38 may even be too small.
I have a pair of Alpine stars gloves and medium was too small so got a Large so yes I would say that Alpine stare gloves at least come up small too.
I am lookin at sports bike shop so can order and send back free of charge.

The thing I've found with Italian leathers is for the correct body fit the arms are too short,so as you reach for the bars the cuff is half way up to your elbow. As you say with the Sportsbike shop you can always send the item back. I expect a dedicated Spidi site will have a size guide to give you a chance of getting the right one first time.

I have ordered it in my correct size which was the only one they had - apart from one that would defiantly be too big. I have got a feeling that although it is my official size its going to be too small, no one else has it in anything near my size. Sports bike shop so if its too small then it will have to go back.

Not sure how they size jackets, I'm slim but needed a 44, arms to short on anything below that
Complete fabrication, I didn't make it up!

Well it has arrived and it seems a perfect fit  :eek
the lable on it says 46 but the size on the website says 36, for a 10 stone 5'8 person I do have quite long arms but the sleeves on this are a perfect length.
It even gos well with my Alpine Stars gloves and HJC lid, the perforations look like they will do a good job with air flow, Just neen some decent sunshine now !

The size 46 is the Euro size suitable for 90-96cms chest which is 36-38 inches so is your correct size.Nice jacket, you've had a result. Smile

Yeh I came to find that but it didn't help on the website because there were two jackets available, one listed as being a 36 and the other being listed as 48 -- which is a 38 then. But as it was listed as 36 I thought the 48 must be a 48 because the listed 36 could not of actually been a 26!  (if you see what I mean) so on the same jacket they were refering to it as a 36 Uk and also a 48 EU.

I got that info from Spidi's size guide chart. If only the manufacturers used the same sizing  it would all start to make sense and be less of a gamble. Glad the jacket worked out ok, looks cool.Time to get a few bugs splattered over it now :lol .
