Not today but yesterday, dodgin' around The Lakes again. Looking pretty with a dusting of snow on the tops, and was pleasantly warm and sunny for the most part. The day before, I'd washed the bike and had it all shiny, but run-off from melting snow, mud and salt soon put paid to that, and now it's filthier than it was before I washed it. Bugger. Worth it though, as the pictures will attest:

Well, I can ride when I want for now, but there's a Sword of Damocles hanging over my head when it comes to having the money to do so, so I don't know how much longer I can keep on like this - so don't be too jealous! Maybe this summer, then I have problems to solve. But the Lake District is a massive part of why I moved up here. Fell in love with it on a walking holiday I did in 2012, and got the opportunity to move up here year before last. Glad I did, although I miss the LOFO rides and friends I had down London way. The pictures - it's not down to any skill I have with a camera. I just point and snap. Can't go far wrong with scenery like that.

Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

First ride since last Autumn. Beautiful weather, 15 degrees in the afternoon. 125 miles in total on the FZS 600, to my favourite cafe, Castlewood Cafe, between Stafford and Uttoxeter.

Son had an Akro on his Aprilia RS4 sounded kinda raspy to me and way too loud.
Mrs thinks the Scorpion is too loud but she is only worried about what neighbours think. I just want to make sure the dozy car drivers in front of me hear me coming especially while filtering :rollin

Certainly doesn't sound raspy on the fz1 but I just like the look of the scorpion can better. The carbon fibre hex one with the red baffle looks the dogs doo dars. I'd like the newer akra too but can't justify £500 just for looks, the missus would hang me haha

Yep know what you mean.
I am running out of excuses for all the packages turning up since I got the Fazer in Feb. But the Scorpion was genuinely £36 +postage so couldnt turn it down... or the Fairing at £70 or the viper seat at £60 or new fork seals and.... and ...Not forgetting the Michelin PR3/4s and I keep kidding myself on the Fazer cost me £550, musta spent another £3-400 on goodies. Thank feck she isn't on the Forum :lol

Bumped into a chap at Wasdale Head, who just recently picked up this boxeye, so I directed him to FOC-U. Seemed a decent sort, and happy enough with the bike.
You always find Fazers in the nicest places ![]() ![]() And went a few other places too: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Supposed to be out with a couple of guys from another forum tomorrow. Guess where we're headed? :rolleyes :lol

Good to see everyone making the best of the weather. The limited parking space at the Filling Station cafe in Keswick was full, and lots of bikes about generally. Surprisingly, wasn't otherwise too rammed in the Lake District today, although a fair few hill walkers with their cars parked up in all the usual spots. Great photos!
None to show here, was too busy riding :lol 300 miles, West Midlands to Llangollen to see the aqueduct there, then on through to Dolgellau and back round to Welshpool, Shrewsbury, Kidderminster then home. Great weather and my first ride on the Fazer Thou; very pleased with her, should have bought one years ago.
