Got bored!
#1
I had a set of knackered legs off an FZS1000 with totally seized compression adjusters. One unscrewed fine, other left all it's threads in the leg. Got my hacksaw to work so I could see where they seize.

I would be very careful if you are taking the adjusters out. The threads are prone to staying in the fork leg. I would try sorting them when still in the fork leg.
