What have you done to your FZS600 bike today
Thumb throttle of a quad bike would be a pretty easy mod to do and would give you a new lease of life on the bike look into it and even try one before you get the opp that way you will no if it's going to be good for you I no I had doubts about it but after riding quads  it's so similar to a throttle you get used to it easy enough

Cheers for the advice Davie  :thumbup I will certainly look into it, there is a place that sells quads about 12 miles from me I will go down and sit on a few and fiddle, they don't need to know I am not in the market for one. :lol

Fitted a Scottoiler.
Was on a roll after doing the same job on my mate's brand spankers Triumph Tiger 800 XCX this morning, (nice looking bike BTW) so figured I might as well do mine, I keep putting it off. Very straightforward job, the only issue being that the bike I took the Scottoiler off, my old TDM 850, needed much shorter tubing lengths than the Fazer. As I'm too tight to buy new vacuum and oil tubing from Scottoiler, (and too impatient to wait for it to arrive) I spliced some pieces from the spares box together to make longer lengths; all nice and vacuum / oil tight and the joins neatly hidden where they can't be seen.
Now nicely dripping oil onto the chain at the prescribed 1 -2 drops per minute. Sorted.

Just refitted mine today too. Great product, the only downside is the front sprocket cover gets absolutely bogging with shit after a while.

Ok not exactly cheap, but there's a set of mt09 Tracer hand guards on eBay now for £67. I reckon they'd look good.

Ordered a custom Hagon shock with proper weighted spring for me, looking forward to seeing how it changes how the bike handles and feels as I'm way to heavy for the standard shock plus the shock is quite old now and done about 34k.

Going to strip and rebuild the front forks with new seals, bushes and 15w oil to help the front a bit too.

Going to do more miles this year, only done 600 last year and about 800 the year before that...

new speed sensor today... great to know what speed I'm going again...  :rollin


also changed the flasher relay so they stop giving people fits when I'm turning off a road...


both done in under a half hour, I was quite pleased with that, so having a beer in celebration!  Wink

Re filled my Tutoro auto chain oiler with new oil. Checked all vacuum hoses/wiring and yup........still don't have any 'cos it doesn't need all that extra buggering around  :pokefun


Also only drips oil when i'm moving  :guitar
Those are my principles...if you don't like them I have others.

Yeah but doesn't necessarily drip oil the whole time you're moving.... (In my experience - I had one once on an Apr*l*a. A right naus to set up and not always willing to work)  :pokefun :lol

Oh no, be absolutely assured - I am never "willing" to work, I only do it out of the necessity to buy food beer petrol more bikes etc etc. I could do foc all, all day long given the opportunity. Retirement won't come soon enough  Smile

Full day in the garage today fitting a replacement engine. I'm very pleased with how it went, but I hope to God it runs ok, because I really don't want to be taking it back out again anytime soon.
