Had my bike for just over a month now and am mighty impressed with it. One thing I've noticed is that if it's been use at low speed for a while it sometimes "smells hot". The fan works and coolant is at the correct level. Maybe it's because of the stoneguard fitted to the rad by a previous owner?? Anyone had the same symptoms? Temp light doesn't come on so presume all is well!
Yes it does, lights up to test the idiot lights when ignition is switched on.
Cheers for that, just needed a little re-assurance as the motor does stay warm for quite a while when it's switched off.
As above, in my opinion it is normal!
The warmer than usual for the UK weather that we are having the pleasure of at the moment is probably contributing to the scent of warmth, but as long as your warning light isn't coming on and the fan kicks in as it should, it is nothing to worry about.
