'Ivanising' in September - POSTPONED
#1
OHi all,

Update:  In view of the number of owners in Scotland and the north of England who have been in touch, I'm looking to add a couple of days to the schedule north of the border.  Dates will have to change accordingly, so now most likely 29 Sept to 3 Oct inclusive.

I'm working on a possible trip with the toolkit over the period 15 - 18 Sept inclusive.  Likely venues are west Midlands, just south of Leicester, and somewhere along the Doncaster - Grimsby axis.

I've got 9 slots available and have 4 confirmed at this stage.

Anyone wanting more information or to reserve a slot, please e-mail me (mikegreatorexAThotmail.com) with your postcode and a contact phone number.

Cheers! Smile

Hi mike, any chance of a trip to Scotland? My bro has bought a very low mileage gen 1 and is keen on getting a full monty.. I could organise a nice curry :lol  and more recipes....prawn patia, chicken bazziger, chicken bhoona... You can stay at my house again.. Wine tastic :lol
If it's broken, it's not fixed.

Hi Nick!  As tempting as that offer is, I'm unlikely to be getting any further north than Grimsby/Doncaster this time around.

Time, regrettably, is my enemy - I have to get back home to take care of some family things.  I do have a handful of other owners based in Sconnie Bottleland on the waiting list and I have promised to look at a Scottish trip as soon as I can.

Cheers! Smile

Hi Mike, I sent you an email last night.  I live fairly close to nickodemon.  If you're planning a Scotland trip fairly soon I'd be happy to wait and help make it more worth while rather than travelling down to Doncaster depending on roughly when you'd be thinking about coming up here.

Just to point everyone's attention to the update I've added to the original post in this thread.  I'm looking at changing the dates of my visit to 29 Sept - 3 Oct inclusive so that I can add a couple of days in Scotland to the itinerary.

All of this is subject to demand, of course.  If you live in the north of England or over the border in Scotland, now's a good time to catch me on one of my rare jaunts up that way.  Not that I don't like it up there - I do, a lot - but simply because most owners seem to be based much further south. Hi Mike, my bro definitely wants the full monty treatment. I will send my email and contact no, as bro doesn't do internet very often :lol

Hi Nick

Just replied to your e-mail - many thanks, mate. Smile

Things are coming together nicely for the Scottish leg of this trip, which is great.  I have 4 owners already lined up but there's still time in the schedule for me to slot in a couple more.

I will need to place the order for kits and air filters fairly soon, so if you're interested please get in touch ASAP. Smile

Cheers!

Hi Mike, i have just found out that i have bought a new house (offer accepted), so i will need to get a garage built! Fortunately the  neighbour along the road is a builder, so hope fully it will be sorted by october! This won't affect my brother wanting the full monty tho... I better start packiing :lol

You did my slip-on kit earlier this year. Would there be any saving if I wanted to 'upgrade' to the full monty or is it a completely different kit?

I can do a small reduction in the usual Full Monty fee but it takes me almost as long to do the upgrade as it does to install an FM from scratch.  It's a different jet kit and there's also a performance air filter to buy as well.

My apologies to all who had expressed an interest and signed up for September but due to family health issues, I've had to postpone this trip until early Spring 2017.  I've e-mailed all concerned direct.

If anyone else has been watching this thread and thinking about getting in touch, please do so still.  I would be happy to provide more information and to add your name to the list for my next visit. Smile

Again, sorry to have to do this but I'm sure folks understand why.

Hi Mike,

I would also be very interested in having an Ivan's kit fitted to my 2003 Gen1.
I live in Scotland, near Edinburgh.

Cheers

Hi Dave

That's very do-able.  Just drop me a line to the e-mail address in the first post on this thread and we can add your name to the list for next Spring. Smile

Cheers!
