Cleaned for MOT. Lost oil filler cap (don't ask), order new one, passed MOT, then discovered a very nice Puig alloy chainguard in the bargain bucket at Squires shop.
£15, but had to modify my route home to avoid motorways as it was a bit flappy on my rear rack. Result!

Steam cleaned the inside of the fuel tank and ground off the rear mount ready for welding new lower mount on. Made a set of prototype 125mm dog bones, may go to 120, main stands now redundant and side stands about 75mm short, bikes seriously tall, 33 inside leg and feet only just flat on floor without seat in place.....
Ordering some stainless round bar and four rose joints to knock up some adjustable bones.
Complete fabrication, I didn't make it up!

Balanced carbs; easier than I thought it was going to be, and the Morgan carbtune is ace!
Wish I hadn't bothered with buying a remote fuel tank, much easier to just turn the bike's tank around! Went over her with a torque wrench; exhaust header bolts a bit loose, as were the clamp bolts.... Funnily enough she's running much better today! All set for a run to Arran tomorrow ![]()

Changed my forks oil seals and oil as the seals started to sweat some oil.
Also gave a good cleaning on the internal parts of those forks.

Not strict speaking today, but fitted some new Osram Nightbreaker bulbs, my Givi Monorack, hooked up the TomTom and changed number plate. Now I've actually got to start riding it. :rolleyes

Went for a wee run to check my new setup.
Right guys get your thinking caps on and help me out please.... Recently changed my chain and sprockets and I also replaced the front fork springs. Scenarios I have now are..... Seems to go up gears a lot quicker than it used to, think this is down to me being used to the old set up to be fair. Also, and more importantly, I move in after an overtake the bike sorta puts me in a 'tankslapper' sort of feeling. This is pretty frightening to say the least and I'd obviously like to get it sorted ASAP. Any advice?
Colin
