Having stripped out the rear end of the bike have so far rebuilt rear caliper with brake overhaul kit from Powerhouse Automotive. Suspension pivot assembly rebuilt with some new bearings & "collars". Got the bearings from "Marksman" as price of Yamaha OEM outrageous!
Have ordered a new rear Wilbers shock from local suspension specialist so cant instal rear wheel & rebuilt brake assy until shock arrives as need the clearance to instal with a freely pivoting swing arm. Torqued up swing arm nut to 115NM. Just finished painting rear brake torque arm and wire brushed a few manky bolt heads. When its all together will remove centre stand for derusting/refinishing in Hammerite black smoothrite. Then its time to tackle the front forks spring action & new oil. Have sorned bike til end Feb & put on road from 1st March unless we get blizzards! :lol

On bike every day to work this week. Missed all of the rain that was promised as we live on the east coast of Yorkshire.
![]() Bike was ACF'd before I bought it and standing up well to the wet weather. Belly pan just waiting for decals then that's my upgrades done for now. :b In the shed tomorrow as I can't fit the 24 butties for work in the top box. :eek If I could I'd be on the bike. :lol
Life's a bitch. Enjoy it while you can.

Rode it to town to pay the tax bill , only to find the tax office is now appartments , thanks to Tory cunts I mean cuts , came home and paid it online .
Attempting to remove front wheel and replace front discs. So far haven't even been able to get pinch bolt loose on front forks and have destroyed 2 Allen keys doing so!!
Foc me scottie are those Allen keys made of cheese? :lol
Those bolts should only be tightened to about 20Nm.

Since snapping an exhaust stud on the 4th January, I finally got round to drilling it out.
Looked at the threads covering the subject on here, loads of good advice by the way, and had a go at repairing it with the engine in place. Managed to drill out the old stud, but fucked up the tapping of the head so am going to drill it oversize and helicoil it back to M6. Or rather, get a professional to do it, because if I fuck this up I'll have to get the head welded.
Broken, bruised, forgotten, sore,
too fucked up to care any more.

Ok, I'm late updating this, but WTH!
On Sunday, I Back Marked a Group Ride-out with 12 other Members of the Solent Advanced Motorcyclists from Ower Services on the M27 down to Oli and Nick's cafe in Blandford Forum (via Zig Zag Hill!) then back via the A30 and various twisty roads which was great fun despite the crappy drizzle. Ironically, just as we got back, the sun came out 8) Then, on the way home, stopped off at a local garage to use their Jet Wash because the rear of the bike was covered in crud! :rolleyes
