Hello from Paris

Hello,


Just signed up and thought i'd introduce myself. I'm a happy owner of an FZS 600 '00, got her 3 weeks ago with 60k Km on it for just 1k euros (he was asking for 1200). She has a minor crack on the front fairing but overall runs great and no issues so far. It's my first "street" bike as my other one is a Yamaha XT 2001 Supermoto (60hp).
I live in France but i can't really speak the language, my hope is to get as much info on my bike through this forum and get to know some like-minded peeps.
If anyone here from France/Paris, feel free to speak up

Will you be allowed into Paris with a bike that old?  :lol

Could do with a hugger to keep the chain lube getting all over it.

Learning the lingo, or trying the lingo will open up a new world for you in France

Yes, it's my favorite color too, was looking for this specific one for some time.
Should be fine with the age of this bike, i think they are pulling out the 1994's and earlier.
I wanna do a hugger, underbelly, maybe that r6 suspension i just read about in here,so many things, but helmet and a good leather jacket were priority, will get there eventually!


Being a chef in an English speaking kitchen doesn't help with the local lingo but thanks for the tip

My missus is from Paris. Have you been around the arc de triomphe many times on it yet?

I've been all round France on my t/rusty fazer, Normandy, mont st Michel, Il de re, Paris a couple of times.
I love it smooth flowing roads, everyone waves at you and cars dive out of your way.

My mate was telling me that to discourage the 'youngsters' racing on the street there is a free motorbike circuit somewhere just outside Paris. Go and stretch her legs!

It's a UK based company with 2 sites in Paris, Belushis in Canal. Feel free to come taste my food if you find yourself in Paris.

I drive daily to work but mostly use the peripheric. I drove around France but in a car, can't wait to try it on  a motorcycle, nice sceneries and roads!
If there is a free motorbike circuit outside Paris, i will find it and try it for sure, i wasn't aware of such a thing! Thanks!

I've not been there, but it's free on Fridays I think, or used to be, or is proper cheap.
