Took it for a Boxing Day blast along with other WAC members (Worcester Auto Club), around the roads of Herefordshire. Found myself, on the A49, at some god forsaken place called "Aston" at around 11:30 ish, so it was me on the horn going past Slimwillys abode........ :lol
Nice dry mild day here in high wycombe so went for a bimble, A404 to maidenhead, A4 to reading, A33 to basingstoke, A339 to alton, crossed the A31 and onto the A32 too the junction of the A272...loomies, for tea and bacon rolls, did'nt stop long , onto the A272 east through petersfield, midhurst billinghurst then left onto the A24 heading to box hill and rykers cafe, took a wrong turn somewhere and went the long way round :lol...made it though, quite a few there, another cup of tea and a raisin and cherry flapjack and back on thd bike, north on the A24, dorking and then jumped on the M25, M40 and home.....191 miles in total, a good day and a bonus this time of year :thumbup
One, is never going to be enough.....

Received the Ohlins steering damper I ordered from a guy on the FZ1OA forum. Looks like new. Now waiting for the new fairing before putting the bike back together after the Dec 18th lowside. Ran the engine to make sure it's all good. That's as close to riding I'm going to do until the pain in my back goes away

Brilliant ride today. Never thought I'd be saying that in December, especially after all the rain and flooding. I umm'd and aah'd (yeah? well you tell me how you spell umm'd and ahh'd then! :rolleyes ) about getting out today. There was some nice sunshine at home, but also some ominous-looking cloud around, but thought, feck it, I'm going. Bright sunshine to just past Alston: ![]() But turn around 180 deg, and oh dear, that's coming this way: ![]() Never mind, press on. Started to rain higher up, but thankfully didn't develop into anything more than a light shower: ![]() Then down the other side to Middleton (luuurrrve that road! ), and it was back into bright sunshine, and started to see a few other bikes around. Who would believe this was December in the dales?! And warm with it ![]() ![]() ![]() After Middleton, I turned off for Stanhope and Weardale: ![]() Then back home via Alston again. Don't get bored - get out! ![]()

When you do the reply thing to a message press the top right (about 9 squares I think) then it gives you options.....reply, quote, view profile etc Press the quote part then just edit out the actual printed words and put in your own but leave in the bits that start "quote" and end "/quote" only change the words inside them Remember and leave anything within the square brackets untouched [ ]
