I work on the London Underground and spend quite a lot of time around the Whitechapel area, near Brick Lane. All the Crossrail operatives have been briefed to go nowhere alone so you always see them in groups of three or more. The Police visibly operate a softly softly approach as the whole area is like a tinder box. Maybe not a no-go area yet but it only takes one incident to get out of control and it will be.
