I was in the cage traveling home at around 7.30pm.

Following a moped through the 30mph zone in Teynham, just outside Sittingbourne.

Moped is about 3 foot from the curb, then puts his right indicator on and straight away, no life save no nothing, no change of road position, anchors up and does a U-Turn.

Luckily I was at a safe distance and was able to brake safely but if someone had been driving closer it could have been nasty.

I was tempted to go back and have a chat but decided natural selection will at some point sort this one out for me!
Money doesn't buy happiness, but it buys beer, and that helps!
proberly the same breed of dozy twat teenage school kid that just steps into the road... as happened to me on the way home just now, as you said.... natural selection will sort them..
FOCing down under.......dodging vacant Skippy's.
Kids. :rolleyes
Last year I was doing 30 down my road, aware of the kid on the moped behind me, I did my lifesavers, indicated to turn right into my drive, slowly applied the brake and turned in.
Fucking bellend then tried to overtake me and ended up losing it on the kerb.
Broken, bruised, forgotten, sore,
too fucked up to care any more.
Hard core Scooter boys are mental! Don't even think about following them through city traffic.
Treat everything in life the way a dog would- if you can't eat it or foc it, forget it.

Never seen anyone riding a pizza before :lol
They are mental though these moped riders, the CBT was supposed to stop these idiots from riding like this but I suppose when you're young and carefree you think that you're invincible and nothing will hurt you. Hopefully they won't have to find out the hard way!
Yep they are twats for sure, but the thing is I started riding at 17 and never rode like that, I think they are just twats and will always be like that, I think they are all going to grow up to be Ronnie Pickering
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.
Twist and Go bikes were a rarity when I was 16 so everyone rode mopeds that looked like motorbikes and required a bit of thinking so a quick U turn was not possible unless you wanted to stall the thing. As a result, riders, though mad at times, were generally better riders than the brainless tw@ts that ride the twist and go things today.
I am sure many of the people riding these mopeds today have not actually done CBT.
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again
Yep I think you have a good point there BBROWN twist and go were around but were not seen as cool like they are now

A few years back, on hollibobs in Crete, three of us hired scooters. We were way out in the rocky barren countryside going along a virtually unused coast road. I was vaguely aware of a shout behind me followed by some "Yoofs" in a car which passed me doing about 80?
I had just been thinking of a u turn to let the others catch up and it would have been oh so easy to spin around without looking.
ALWAYS EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!!!!!
I used to not give a foc, then I discovered Red Bull and now I don't give a flying foc !!!

Amen brother Foccer. If every road user did that and OSM the accident rate would half in the UK.
Just flapping about on this stagnant little pond on the outer rim of the internet.....yup.... :-))

IMO that's too long for people to remember and its in the wrong order. Why over complicate it ? We should be doing mirrors, position, speed, looking, assessing and deciding BEFORE we signal or we are just showing false intent. All of those still fall under obs in my book. Once u have done those checks we will know it's either ok or not to do the manoeuvre and if it is signal and move.

Mirror Signal Action
Action can be anything from adjusting speed to doing a U-turn
Signal can be anything from using the indicators to checking the speedo (its a signal)

3 Scooter Boyz anecdotes.
2 lads riding up towards a red light with a queueue of traffic waiting. Both decided to do stoppies. They were ok but all it would have taken was a bit of oil or diesel on the road and they both wouldhave been off or in the back of the rearmost vehicle.
One Christmas I was going caving in Box stone mines up above Bath. It had been snowing and the road was compacted snow and pretty slippy. In the distance we heard a moped engine and then over the brow of the hill came a pizza delivery boy with both feet on the ground heading towards the 1:10 slope down to Bathford. Fair play to him - I wouldn't have done it on two wheels.
And finally to prove that yoofs act like twats not only on the road. I was on the Norfolk Broads and was forced into the bank by another boat who steered straight at us. When they passed us I saw that they had managed to knock a bloody great hole in the rear corner of the boat. Dunno how they were going to explain that to the boatyard.

By the time you have done all that --you've missed your chance and its time to start again

Nor me but I would on someone else's bike and I think that's the key here, that Its not his bike

It is not just yoofs that ride like pricks on scoots. I was heading into Alicante yesterday and at the lights I got this gobshite on a Vespa beeping his horn and gesticulating. He wanted me to filter, which in Spain is a no no(€200)fine if you fail to maintain 1.5 mtrs between you and the traffic you are passing(have been done)He got really stroppy and starts to try and push me forward. I got off the bike and decked the twat just in time to remount and move off as the lights changed. At the next set of lights he hung back.
