Only took about an hour to remove the original paint and leave satin finish on the bits left bare (in front of the tv) few mins flating the other paint for a key for the new paint, five coats of paint in between polishing the swingarm, 15 min's in the oven to cure the paint, another half hour in front of the TV removing the paint again. Bit more time with some wire wool/ wet and dry and I'll be happy with it. Keeps me out of the pub ![]()

That rear calliper has come up nice, i have 2 in the garage that are in need of repair, i have an FZS1000 on mine, did you split the calliper?
Did you need to replace the o-ring pieces??? I might dig mine out and try giving them a spruce up

Nice work Joe

oops...sorry sinto :lol

Yes I slit it, was seized but pistons ok so got a set of seals. You might get away with using the original o rings but mine were in a state so replacing them too. Going to go to local auto factors for them , far cheaper than standard parts

ok i have 2, one i split and needs new seals, the other may need splitting just to get the pistons out and give it a good clean, but Sinto may well be having them soon so, Sinto, pay attention!
