Most American words are ours, just after the founding fathers colonised the US, our english evolved into what we hear and use today, they didn't have the same evolution hence the difference pronounciation of the same words, tomato v tomato
Complete fabrication, I didn't make it up!

Radio DJ's that cut classic songs' short. I've lost count of the number of times 'Free Bird' has been faded out just as the brilliant instrumental bit gets going :wall.

Continuing my dismay of Xmas too early.....

There now showing Xmas films on channel 5! I know there's not much good on TV at the best but showing Xmas films 6 weeks prior to Xmas is ridiculous and while I'm on the subject.....

Shopping centres now playing Xmas songs.

Xmas will soon be an all year event at this rate Sad

I went to the garden centre the other day for some moss treatment for the lawn. Most of the actual gardening things had been displaced by baubles and tinsel :eek. The stuff I was looking for had been bunged outside in a shed :rolleyes.

It's a nightmare trying to keep on top of it. I have to treat it at least twice a year. Yeah I guess it's a bit late for it, but I've found it still works. Probably wouldn't bother again until Spring now tho. The main issue is that re-seeding is a bit hit & miss when it turns cold and wet.

Forget the bikes..welcome to gardeners corner :lol.

Autojumblers.... I mean JUST WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK? I have spent the day watching piss smelling, hat wearing, old cunts spend serious amounts of wedge on rusty old pieces of shit. I shit you not I watched some old boy part with enough folding to snort coke off of a high end hooker's arse on a rusty wheel rim that looked like it had been at the bottom of the canal for decades and then walk away clutching said rusty shit and looking like he was gonna cream in his pants....

I just don't get it, serious go to an autojumble and see for yourselves cos it baffles the fuck outta me!

I find that the best way is to treat with moss killer and the use an electric scarrifer around about April and the re seed. If you have never use an electric lawn rake before you will be amazed how much moss and thatch you will take out. The south lawns of sharp hall are not that bad for moss but the rear lawns that fall under sharp halls shadow can get mossy in areas.
The gardener didn't scarify this year and I noticed that he did not have to mow the lawns half as much as in previous years due to the thatch suppressing growth.
I am going to have a word with him next year and get him to scarify as Lady Sharp had commented about the lawns condition during her last garden party
