Update on my cbf moan......my mate gets a new tyre today & he just ordered a nitron shock via ebay......look forward to getting another shot to see if it is no longer riding like a 1940 s vintage bike
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

Are you sure it's not being rode by a 1940's vintage bloke? :lol :pokefun

A BMW :eek . Not sure I could stand the shame :lol Wouldn't get any biker nods either :rolleyes
On a serious note....I am looking at this below. At lot of money for the age (could be a money pit) but there's something about it I like - don't know what though.

"Almost" bought a Deauville but the CB1300 had a bit more wow factor and ultimately I did not think there was much point in buying a bike I found uninspiring to ride. Ran the CB for 3 years including through the winters.
One thing I was not impressed with was the overall Honda build quality and whilst the ABS was pretty good I had to strip the brakes every month or they seized up. Ended up going back to the Fazers with a FZ6 for the winter and an FZ1 for the summer.
I'm sure if you have set your mind on the CBF then another will come up in the coming months
cheers for this thread as I've been looking to get another bike & there is a CBF1000 come up for sale that I'm going to look at tonight. its 07 plate with 14.5k miles on and looks a beaut!
only thing is i'm fussy bout is the riding position & how easy it is to manoeuvre standing still & very slow speeds!
If I get it I'll put pics up, if I don't I'll put sellers link up lol!

FZ1S with ABS than - surely way better than Hondas :lol

Put a link up Robbie and I can beat you to it offer some advice.
Keep looking at this one below. Literally a mile away from me but can't get past the shite colour :'(
:lol :lol Both scouting the same bloody bike, what were the chances eh? Pleased for you Robbie, nice one fella. I really did try to like the colour because the rest of the bike was totally spot on including options...........and a feckin mile away from me.
Agree that Silver and Black are better but would also take the white or candy red ahead of the blue - personal choice.
I know where the bike is.........good luck making it to the motorway :rollin
Those are my principles...if you don't like them I have others.
haha thanks was well chuffed with it, like you say fully loaded and spotless its been kept in a garage all its life, well that's about to change hehehe
will keep you all updated on it.
cheaper than the yucky blue one so leaves you cash to add the rack etc.
Not a bad shout BB - worth thinking about.
Currently scouting this one - NOT BLUE, nice rear shock upgrade, knuckle wind deflectors, comfort seat, lowers etc. Mileage is double but I do about 20 - 23k a year so is it an issue. It's also private so a hard haggle down to £2800 could be on the cards.
