Hi
I'd like to fit the R6 shock but also need to reduce the ride height a bit because Im a short arsed git. Is it possible to fit the R6 shock using some of those lowering dog bones off eBay?
Cheers

some more feedback
Robin Doig R6 on mine from devilsyam transformed the bike
Now have r1 front end Upgraded
Steve Gixer Devilsyam all the way.
Another stunning feedback
Hi Luke fitted the shock upgrade today took bike out for a quick run feels like a different machine, weaves and dodges manhole covers with ease and total stability, comes out of corners with great accuracy, a lot more planted, not tried it 2 up yet but should handle great, I can't thank you enough for the great service and that wonderful idiots guide, luckily I won't have to have my spanners taken off me,
Thanks again

I bought and fitted one of the r6 shock mod kits off Luke last year and I'm still amazed at the difference it made to the fazer. I do have a couple of questions for Luke.
Do you do stainless steel dogbones for the kit, as I'd like to change from the powder coated black ones. If so how much would they be?
And I'm looking at buying one of the R&G Shocktube protectors to keep the shock nice and clean, roughly what year r6 do the shocks come from? Am I right in thinking around 2006?

People need to stop posting good bloody feedback about these until I have enough money to get one :lol

Ok guys
I had the R6 shock from devilsyam(Luke Gibson) sitting on my shelf for a few months just never had time to fit ,lazy I know as it comes with foolproof fitting instructions !
I had it fitted today while the bike was in getting other bits n bobs done
Ok took my normal ride route home from central London to Essex
OMG I have a new bike
1st , first chance of really testing it out is over Londons speed bumps ,it totally eliminates the bounce
2nd real test on quite a long gets tighter in the bend right hander ,normally with the stock shock I have to shut down a bit or risk running wide ! Not with the new shock I could actually wind the throttle in and could shift position in the bend
3rd is a bump on the A12 that I slow down for with the standard shock as the bike would normally bounce a bit and as its on a bend could get a bit uneven
R6 shock immediately corrected the bike
4th no more squat when you power in
5th bikes front end feels far more responsive (I have Hagon springs fitted)
6th I felt far more part of the bike and connected to the road
All done on patchy wet roads
Can't wait for the dry weather to really put the bike through its paces
IT IS A MUST FOR THE FZS 1000
Take a bow Mr. Gibson awesome mod thank you
I have a new bike
Craig I used to do stainless bones but the cost became stupid so dropped them in favour of powder coated ones
2008 on for shock tube
I have red in stock brand new 0 miles
Cheers Luke,
Ive had a quick measure up of the powder coated dogbones whilst fitted to the bike and does 130mm centres sound about right?
