Hi looking to replace the stock exhaust on my 02 box eye Fazer as it currently sounds like an industrial sewing machine.
Currently got a centre stand fitted which I don't want to lose.
Loads out there, look on YouTube with a decent set of speakers or earphones and it will give you a very rough idea of tones.
I've just changed again back to my Quill exhaust, it's much easier on the ear and the bike tends to sound much smoother than my SP Engineering Moto GP exhaust.
They're both on there if you want a listen.
More people are born because of alcohol than will ever die from it.
Blue Flame, Oval, TwinSpout, in Stainless - Road Legal configuration but with removable baffles (use what you want to get the noise you want), good quality, long lasting and well priced.
We've got them on 3 of our bikes and have never had a problem with any of them - both Fazers (600 & 1000) retained centre stands.
its IL4 it will never sound like twin. I was thinking to change mine too but the improvement is so tiny I do not think its worth it :lol
IMO the best sound will be Remus Hexacone

mine sounds pretty deep at idle but as soon as you open the throttle it sounds like a gp bike
+1 for a blueflame can.
I've got a single exit like the on in this video and it's great, baffle in and sounds great, baffle out and sounds a bit deeper and louder. I keep the baffle in as that's loud enough for me.

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.
Had a look on ebay limited choices when 'FZS 600 exhaust' is searched will any pipe fit so long as I get a link pipe and if so where can one aquire the link pipe?
Also used or new? Noticed new ones are around £100 -£130 which isn't too bad I suppose I wouldn't want to spend anymore on one though as I am not sure how long I intend on keeping the bike yet had it since February.
I'd also like one BSAU 193 markings/E stamped but I believe you can buy the plates off ebay and rivet them on.
Looked at YouTube videos I like the crackle of the scorpian as it comes off the power but that's £199 new.
So far I have narrowed it down to within my budget:
Delkivic mini 200mm stubby. (Not sure I like the look of stubbies yet).
Delkivic 450mm oval.
GP Carbon.
Simmi performance.
Best sounding out of that lot?

Blue Flame comes with link pipe, simple to fit in a few short minutes - I think ours was £140 all in for this one on the 600
Personally, I think it looks great and sounds great.
Yeah, the blueflame came with a link pipe and just slipped straight on, I bought it direct from them, the bsau stamp is on the can so even if you take the baffle out then the can is still stamped.
Just go for whatever you like though. They'll all be better than the standard one for sound.

another blue flame fan here. My bike sounds like a "real" bike
I've never taken the baffle out and it sound great going through vilages with buildings close to the road and screams a lovely tune when given some beans.
best £150 I've spent on the bike.
The chaps at blueflame are top gents too
Money doesn't buy happiness, but it buys beer, and that helps!
I just put my Quill exhaust back on my bike, to give my ears a rest from the Moto GP can, and one thing i've really noticed is that when your carbs are properly balanced it really changes the exhaust tone.
The Quill used to have a deep but subtle raw sound to it but now it still sounds deep but rather sensible, the difference is very noticeable.
Nowhere near as burbly as the Moto GP one though, it sounds much nicer on the ears.

Sounds a tad smoother now, this was before the balanced carbs.
Quill has no baffle, the Moto GP is baffled. I tried it once and allthough it sounds marvellous without one you just get the impression EVERYONE is looking at you, which you really don't need or want. :look
