New FZS600 owner

Hello everyone,


[size=1em]Stumbled across the forum whilst I've been bike hunting, seems like a great site :thumbup .  I've just bought a '99 FZS600, which I'm excited to be picking up tomorrow night  Got my license last month after a year's apprenticeship on a YBR, and can't wait to get out on my first 'proper bike'!  Hopefully the weather gods will stay kind...[/size]

[size=1em]I'm based in Surrey, would be good to meet up for a ride/shandy at some point if any of you are local.[/size]

Welcome to the site Adam. The 99 model (specifically in black) is the fastest Fazer 600 so enjoy it but be careful.
My son went from a year on a YBR to an ER-5 for two years and on to the FZS600. He scared himself the first time he rode the FZS.

Welcome to the site Adam and good luck with the bike, it is a great all rounder. :thumbup
Be careful with the front brakes they are a serious step up from the YBR.
Grabbing them like you could on the YBR will lock up the front.

Post a picture, may have been owned by someone on here at some time.

Have seen on the forum's member map there are few of us around we can do some ride out around sometime
