Cosmetically it's like showroom condition. It's been very well maintained as you can judge by the full service history. I don't think it's ever seen a wet day.
Mechanically the bike is also sound.. at the recent service at my local Yamaha dealership, the mechanic was surprised how clean and sweet the engine ran. Doesn't miss a beat, and it shouldn't with only 11,400 miles on the clock.
Since I've owned it, I've done around 3,000 miles, with one long trip to France. Other than that it's been on Sunday rides and a few trips to work on dry days.
One or two little extras with the pipewerx end can and a tinted fly screen, also the previous owner upgraded to braided brake hoses, front and rear.
I also have a set of sports bike type handlebars, similar to renthals as i was going to change them but never got around to it which I will also include in the sale.
With the bike comes the standard exhaust and screen.
Delivery may also be possible. Thanks for looking and send me any questions you may have :-)
I assume it said something else and then brooker edited it.
Sorry to be a buzzkill bit price seems high to me. I bought my excellent condition, 54 plate fazer last year, with under 10k miles, in that colour for much less than that (and I bought it from a dealer).
I won't put the price up here as I don't want to detract from this thread, but I'm happy to PM it to you if you want it as a guide.

Yeah I had said price was too high but didn't want to ruin the guys thread. I think I can remember a one owner with a gen1 only about 4k on the clock sold his for around 3.2k ?? The red and black one?? The one nick crisp wanted ? That being said I sold my gen1 last summer for sub 2.5k same year but with more milage (maybe I got too little for her) she had been Ivanised and r6 shock etc etc. GLWTS hope you get what u want from the bike. I sometimes post early in the morning and don't think k about whom I'm pissing off that's why I removed my post.
According to sparklers price guide private sale £2300 , dealer £2850. It will take a long time to shift if your trying to sell it for over £4000 , even if it has low mileage and lots of extras .

late model, low mileage FZS1000's always go for over £3k all day long. Check Autotrader, mcn, ebay, loot, etc, and I assume you mean Parkers guide? its mostly a car price guide so its bike prices are going to be way of the mark.
And on the subject of accessories, the belly pan is now extremely rare (you try and find one, let alone a colour matched one)and is worth £150+ all day long by itself. The OPS bike is worth £3500+ all day long.

[/quote]true too some the bike may be worth that , but do you honestly think he will sell it for that . I paid 2500 for mine over 4 years ago , an 02 with 18000miles on the clock , still Good luck with the sale .
Yeah you do see some late models going for 3k sometimes from dealers. I agree but in all fairness he isn't asking for 3k price is he? My gen2 means the world to me but will all know how much it's worth foc all. In fairness people can ask what they want for there bikes they just need to be priced correctly or they never sell. Most times sellers whom as for crazy prices usually just post up bike has sold and never admit hoe much the bike sold for happened here a few months ago with a lad in Scotland whom I offended which is why my original post was removed coz I didn't want to do it again. Anyways back to the sale. GLWTS hope you get a price that u will be happy with.

Mine's the '05 red and black one that Nick wanted
Paid £3.5k privately, hugger, factory bellypan, bungs, fabri tall screen (and original), rad. guard, heated grips, alarm, still on original tyres with BIG chicken strips and low mileage of just under 5k.
It's unmolested (dunno when I'll start :eek) but Gen1's are holding value well, maybe even rising?
Mine woulda been over 4k at a dealer with a warranty no doubt.
I paid top whack and was happy to deal, paid full asking price, no hesitation 'cos good ones are getting thin on the ground aren't they?.
That's all Rob needs to find, someone who's happy with his bike. And it looks like one of the good ones.
GLWTS from me too, but it won't be me sorry, I've got my keeper!
Now where's Mike these days, Mike? Mike? About this Full Molestation Monty thing.....
