Calibrating throttle with Juicebox / PC3 ?
#1
Yesterday I calibrated my throttle on my FZ1 in the tools menu of my juice box as it always showed as 96%, followed the simple instructions and now it shows zero which is meant to be correct.
I noticed that it was showing a voltage reading  of 0.684 at tickover, does anyone know if this is correct? Does the voltage change as the revs rise?
I have no fault codes showing on dash and the bike is running ok, just wanted to know  if anybody else has done this on their juicebox or PC3 and what voltage reading they got.

The tps is basically a potentiometer. The ecu measures the voltage coming from the tps & then knows the throttle position.
So yes the voltage does increase as the throttle is turned.
I suspect you didn't have the engine fully warmed up & your idle now isn't at the same rpm as when you set it last.
Try fully warming it again & resetting. Of course there'll always be minor variations in voltage & you may not get better than that  Smile
The above of course is only a very basic explanation.

Edit: don't try getting 0v after a reset, it'll never happen, you're very, very close now. I'd try to reduce it a little but not let it bother you.

Thanks for the reply. Smile
Engine should have been fuly warmed up as the fan had kicked in ,and yes the idle had gone up by a small amount from 1150 to 1200.
I will try again to see if it makes any difference.
