Figured I'd use up the 2 spare hours I had and deal with the rear brake pads as mentioned above; found a set in a box that I forgot I had from when I bought the bike. Took a lot longer than it should have because the pad pins had rotated so that you I couldn't get to the R clips and then the pins had seized solid - I had to use a hammer and a punch to get the buggers out and even then it was a tough job.
Cleaned it caliper up as well as the pins and sanded them back a bit to a smooth surface and lubed them up with some copper grease to try and prevent it from happening again. It's all back together now at least so I look forward to getting out on the bike and testing them, but that's for another day ^.^
I really want to balance my carbs but i'm on call for work so Sods Law i'll be half way through it and the phone will ring, i don't think i should chance it really, which is a shame 'cos it's perfect weather too. :'(

Worse still, i'm ready to chance it right now but leaving my bike running this early will just make me enemy number 1 with the neighbours. :evil
I've been up since 6.30am, this is torture. :groan

Pack the gauges and screwdrivers etc, ride to work and do the job there.

That is actually a very good idea, and it had crossed my mind, but unfortunately there's always the chance i may have to go to a film set so it's not that straight forward.
If i get called to a film set i have to go immediately, as time means money.
I'm on call every 2 weekends so i'll just give it a go on Saturday otherwise, but it's just a shame as there's no telling what the weather will be like then, and right now it's absolutely spot on. un
