Cheers Robbie. I kept and flew one of these when I was at secondary school. Inspired by the book Kes. They take an awful lot of dedication and looking after. She is now stuffed and sits on top the book shelf in my music room.

Kessie the Kestrel. She's starting to look a bit raggedy these days.

Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad

I was inspired by the book Kes, only ever flown one twice as I heard they were high maintenance, waiting to retire & have a pair of harris to start with.

think it would be cool to have a hawk or falcon flying alongside me as I rode!! lol

I've often thought about getting back into falconry and Harris Hawks are meant to be easier going than most other birds.

Went for a little relaxed bimble through the woods and byways of the beautiful Kent countryside.
Good to see the bluebells starting to bloom.Had a little buzz along the sea wall too.

Took the helicopter out early this morning, up over Rutland water, down to Peterborough and back to base via Bruntingthorpe.

Then a 25 mile mountain bike ride with my 20 yr old son and his best mate.

Finished off by Ryan and I taking ou the Fazers for a 4hr ride down around the Cotswolds.

Awesome day (especially after watching WSB/WSS and seeing Motogp/Moto2/Moto3 results - c'mon you Brits, and VR46 !!!!!!!!).

I went to Oulton Park on the XJ600 to watch some friends racing in the Wirral 100 Club event. Sunshine and showers, good attendance. BSB Oulton Park next week.

Took the MG for its MOT after the long winter of work... and it's back off the road again Sad

Front spring is snapped and suspension mounting needs welding. Plus there are various small bits that need dealing with such as some suspension bushes, brake imbalance and the CV gaiter needs a look...

At least I now have a more justified reason for buying a welder... I just can't afford it :\

Started the strip down and stripped down the throttle cable and lubed as it was sticking. Also started polishing the frame.. You can see the part that's polished... Just need to do the rest of the frame and forks. The rear tyre has a nail in it Sad , so will take to bike shop to get a plug put in it. Going to check amount of oil in the forks as the front end is really soft :\

Entered the Nifty Fifty Endurance race in May, got myself a Suzuki TS50 for the job.
Spent two weeks stripping it down, sorting the clutch, brakes and carb, finally got it running Friday evening.
Took it for its first test ride at my mate's farm, got 50 yards down a track and came off, dislocating my kneecap and tearing ligaments and other meaty shit out of place.
I'm now in a brace, looking at surgery and can't ride for at least two months.
  :'(
Broken, bruised, forgotten, sore,
too fucked up to care any more.

Not sure if it counts as it was technically off road?  :b Bike was fine by the way, my mate was pulling wheelies on it afterwards.  Big Grin

Worst part was I had my daughter's christening Sunday and ended up wearing a suit with cut off shorts, like that fucker in the money supermarket advert! Ever since she was born last December, my folks were asking me to stop riding, to ride safely etc. It's funny to think that every day I rag a 95bhp Yamaha down the M6 and through Birmingham, and it's a poxy 50cc bike at 10mph that actually does me in.  :rollin
