Flights and rental car are booked. I have a few ideas on how to do the work more efficiently, which will help with four bikes to do each day. It's going to be a very busy 4 1/2 days! The next couple of months will gallop by ... who's in charge of booking the weather? ![]()

Hijack time, everyone put your foccin hands in the air and stay calm :hijack :hijack :hijack :b
Anyway, only a tiny hijack, i was reading a review on my Gen 2 thou and it mentined that it has the 2004 model R1 engine and then it states that this was the pre "breathed on" R1 engine as the later 2006 R1 engine was breathed on. I always thought that "breathed on" was an ivanising term and so got me wondering why if the Gen2 engine is pre breathed on then how come it cant be breathed on......i appreciate that ivanising is also relating to carbed engines and so my gen 2 couldnt have that part but what is the breathed on part because i thought you also did that to these gen 1's???
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

Breathed on is just a general way of saying it's been tuned, so not specific in any way to 'Ivanising'.
That said, Ivan does a range of tuning options for the Gen 2, most recent of which is his reflash of the ECU. Pop over to the US FZ1OA website and you'll find masses of information and feedback. http://www.yamahafz1oa.com/forum/showthr...an%27s+ecu There's also Ivan's own website, of course. ![]() http://www.ivansperformanceproducts.com/

Yes, kits are available from SG Motorsports (https://www.sgmotorsport.biz/) and information on fitting is covered on Pat's Site. The Full Monty installation requires additional work to the airbox lid and the intake stubs. I can advise on those if you choose to go the DIY route. ![]()

Not long now, reckon I'll still be smiling after the ride home on my newly Ivanised steed.

Maybe an obvious question but - Is there not anyone anywhere in the UK who does "Ivanising" ?
thanks in advance

No, but thanks for the offer.
![]() It takes me about 15 mins from putting the bike on the centre stand to get the carbs on the bench. I have a routine I work to which I like to stick with and it helps me with the rest of the process, including the rebuild. Hasta pronto, amigos! |
