Yes Slim, we flew from London City to Paris then onto Guadeloupe. Going out was fine but coming back the French air traffic controllers strike meant we only go as far as Paris by air. A hire car to Calais, a couple of taxi's and a ferry were required to get us home.

Filming for the next series starts in May and many of the cast/crew stay that the hotel we were at but were not there when we were there so no pictures Skipper.

Booked it ourselves Slim though Expedia. There are no direct flights from the UK so it is not in the main travel companies brochures though one or two of the smaller ones may have it. There were a few Brits there, the staff at the hotel were mainly young Danish and Swedish blonde girls but every one else was a local (French Caribbean).
They do All Inclusive but we went B&B and ate down in the local town most nights where there was plenty of choice. Even with the hire car, that was cheaper than going AI anyway.

Also, despite going at Easter, there were very few brats there as it is predominantly a French holiday location and they have different school holidays to us Smile

In fact, as of Mid April, they are now in their low season until October. Not that different to other Caribbean islands in that respect but it does start earlier.

Been to quite a few Caribbean islands but never Guadeloupe. Looks nice.

Last time I watched Death in Paradise I saw an old Forest Hill drinking spar who was in the cast, Joe Absolon. Also used to be in East Enders and Doc Martin. Felt very jealous that he gets paid to go work in locations like that.

Now my Mrs is nagging me to take her to Antigua where my mother comes from.
Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad

Yosemite park , it was a bit early in the year so most of the park was closed , it also meant we had to drive the long way to Death valley nearly 500 miles.
