Foc me...was jus sayin to Christo that you were quiet & then you pop up again.......i know the solution....buy a thou :b ....a red one.
Anyway thats a bit shit......but the bikes are all old unless theyve had brand new replacements so in theory you may have another knackered one......but i agree it sounds suspicious dont it....& im pretty sure you use (read thrash) your bike which imo is good for them. Question id be asking is what other problem could damage the fuel pumps????
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

Crappy fuel maybe, or just poor luck? Carbs balanced recently and all? When the pump was working, all good? No hesitation?

I had the same problem even bought a new fuel pump, plug caps, air filter and still conked out after anything from 5 to 30 minutes, leave for 5 mins and then cane the starter to maybe get to work. I assumed it was a fuel issue after being stranded on M4 for 6 hours, so bought a set of carbs from Fazer Spares and changed my saggy diaphragms and bike had been aok since.
Hope this may help

Maybe water in tank/carbs?
What is it actually doing?
