Right guys, thought I'd try and do a wee poll to find out the fastest colour as I've heard varying statements saying certain colours are faster than others ;-)
Get voting and have your say here :-)

Right, science!
Right, ya 'orrible lot, pay attention! :lol :lol
As we can see, on the left (sloooowww!) is blue, in the 450nm range, with silver just next to it. Then green (although thankfully, not many Fazers are that colour!!). At about 600nm, we have yellow. But when we get to 675 - 750nm, then we get red, and faster. However, off the right of red, off the scale, we have black. Therefore faster!
Black being faster can also be proved by Doppler. Light coloured bikes have a higher refractive index, therefore reflect more. By reflecting, you detract from your total energy. However, darker colours absorb engery, thus increasing the total energy of the system. Black is the most absorbant.
Energy = power, and power = speed.
Therefore, as black bikes have the most energy, they have the highest speed. QED :lol .
BTW - the red bikes may get more votes because the armchair riders are at home - black bike riders are enjoying the speed of their bikes to much to stop! :rollin :rollin

PMSL he can't get his own facts right "off the left of red" think you mean right which means you just said red bikes are faster than black.
Plus any colour bike is faster than yours Christo as you don't have one. :rollin

Nah, mate, my bike's silver! :lol :lol (OK, and in bits)
Skippernick - I am only a confused silver bike owner, remember! :lol Message corrected.
Been done before, i believe black would've been the clear winner until some dastardly silver cheater hacked the survey 'cos they couldn't bear to lose!
