Anyone ever fancied side car racing
#1
I'm just reading this week's MCN and apparently there is a side car test at Mallory tomorrow (27th March).  Members of the public can have a go on a side car for free but with a payment of £14 for insurance...... who's up for it?  I'd blooming love a go, shame it's such short notice and so far away for me....
Money doesn't buy happiness, but it buys beer, and that helps!

Done some sprint racing, track racing and grass track. I'd recommend if you have the chance. Just hold on tight and make sure you know where all the grab handles are  :lol

Me and my mate won the VMCC 1000cc left hand sidecar grasstrack championship in 2011.

That's me hanging off  :eek

This is at Festival of 1000 Bikes on a demo run on the 2011 1000cc Blackbird sprint bike with nitros. It's supposed to be a demo run but everyone goes flat out and it usually end up being a race.

Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad

Done it nearly 40 years ago, sand racing , on the Wirral coast, just off Leasowe. I was a fill in on the chair. Never been so shit scared in my life , loved every minute of it. Could hardly walk for a week , arms nearly riped off , knees battered and my arse was killing me . We did 4 races only finshed one as we kept over heating the rig. She was a home built job and went life a rocket. I think it was engined by a 3 Cylinder Wartburg two stroke engine thing sounded great.

Yes, You do have to be pretty physically fit to this.

That sand racing sounds like a hoot.
